Catbridge has added a new fully automatic turret rewinder to its product line. The model 334 is equipped for cored and coreless slitting and rewinding on various mandrel sizes for various interior diameters. The wide variety of available features include a core hopper with automatic core loading; the Catbridge "enveloper" which allows tapeless, glueless, no foldover starts on both cored and coreless winding; shear, score or razor slitting; inline perforation; inspection and splicing; automatic cut-off of finished rolls; laser printing of job or lot numbers; auto application of a label or other roll closure; and automatic discharge.
A full selection of features bring new capabilities to other slitter rewinders for nonwovens. The Model 401, for example, provides automatic cut-off and transfer for continuous process lines. Built in widths to 200" and for rewind diameters to 60", this model can be used as a primary production line rewinder or as part of an off-line laminator or coating process. Fully automatic cut-off and transfer is accomplished on a drum type winder and finished rolls are discharged to a conveyor or table. This surface winder can be equipped with numerous features including slitting, laminating/bonding (ultrasonic, heat, coating), multiple unwinds in various configurations (including inverted), and web inspection.
The Model 210, a popular two-drum surface winder built in widths to 200", handles all grades and types of substrates for high-speed slitting and rewinding offline. This slitter rewinder can be equipped for extremely light to very heavy tensions. A full variety of features are available including braked, surface driven or motor driven unwinds in shafted, shaftless, and shaftless floor pick-up designs; special web paths and rolls types for extremely low tensions on very thin materials; splicing, embossing and laminating options; shear, score or razor slitting; shafted or shaftless rewind; and various finished roll discharge methods.
