Our unique turret innovations include a durable, driven shear knife cut-off for positive, no-stall cutting on all substrates; the Catbridge enveloper for tapeless, glueless, no fold-over starts; and the Catbridge tabber which applies a pressure sensitive tape to both the beginning of the new webs for core attachment and the end of the finished webs for tail-tie. Model 324: Single-Turret Slitter Rewinder
The Model 324 cantilevered turret rewinder produces small to medium diameter finished rolls with slit widths of at least four inches, rewinding on a single shaft. This model comes in 18-inch (450 mm), 24-inch (600 mm), or 32-inch (812 mm) diameters. A non-cantilevered version is available for roll diameters up to 42 inches (1070 mm). The Model 324 turret rewinder offers several features to enhance productivity on both short and long run jobs. Available with different winding configurations, this winder is suitable for almost all substrates. Popular applications include coated paper such as deli paper, uncoated paper such as plotter paper, and also vinyls, films, and nonwovens.
Model 344: Dual-Turret Slitter Rewinder
The Model 344 has a duplex turret design which slashes downtime between sets and is ideal for narrow cuts. With its cantilevered, center wind design and numerous time-saving features, the Catbridge 344 dual turret is widely used for pressure sensitive tape, flexible packaging, and other industries with high-volume, repetitive jobs. This turret winder offers locked-core or differential winding and is available in 18-inch (450 mm), 24-inch (600 mm) and 30-inch (762 mm) rewind diameters. Speeds to 2,500 fpm (762 m/min) are possible.
Model 334: Fully-Automatic Turret Slitter Rewinder
The Model 334 is a fully automatic turret slitter rewinder, winding on one shaft. The Model 334's cantilevered, three-shaft design allows auto core loading and finished roll stripping while winding. This fully automatic turret rewinder provides the advantage of rapid cycle times with minimal labor for long-run work while also offering features for fast changeovers on short runs. The 334 can wind cored or coreless. Different machine widths, finished roll core sizes, and rewind diameters are available. Besides the tabber and enveloper, special features offered include inline die-cutting, laserjet lot number printing and label application for finished roll closure. This turret rewinder handles materials including flexible packaging, pressure sensitives, tapes, film, laminations, nonwovens, paper, board, tissue, toweling, and counter rolls.
Model 324-C Continuous Turret Rewinder
The Model 324-C, a continuous center winder for process lines, can be configured to run a wide variety of materials including nonwovens, films, laminations, paper products, and various flexible packaging materials. The 324-C continuous winder is built in widths from 20 to 84 inches (508 to 2130 mm) and rewind diameters of 18 to 40 inches (450 to 1016 mm). Web entry guiding systems, an accumulator, a lift-out or cantilever mandrel design, over and/or under winding directions, cut-off options, and other features add design versatility. Minimum gap winding is also available on this model.
